Ornamental fish

Since 1993 Waldschach Fish Hatchery has been rearing cold water ornamental fish. Those fish are delivered within Austria by train, within Europe by truck to wholesalers. Apart from Koi, Silver Amur, Grass Carp and various types of Sturgeon, we breed also some species of goldfish (like Shubunkind and Goldfish) in spawning tubes. We specialize, however, in Koi hatching, and we sort 150 – 170,000 pieces of bred Koi by their colour to sell them in three different colours and of sizes between 5 and 70 cm: Koi B, Koi A, Koi A extra. Many dealers and private persons visit our exhibition tanks every year to choose the fish they want to buy. The Koi is certainly a type of fish that should be looked at and chosen by yourself personally.
Cold water ornamental fish are not only delivered by train, we also export them by air to destinations within Europe and even to Venezuela. |

- We run our own lab
- The fish are hatched in local waters and therefore accustomed to our regional climate (ice cover in winter)
